I shall pre-empt the probable interjection from Mr Prefect by correcting the above . . .

Wow. That was one intelligent argument you brought up. Color me impressed. "Because they're crap!" What a witty commentary! (We'll be polite enough to not go into the lack of grammar skills in that first attempt...)

OK. I have personally used a set of Bose speakers for several years and have been perfectly happy with them. Yes, I agree there are better speakers available. Yes, you can probably get better quality speakers for a better price.

The reason I chose my Bose speakers is because they output a surprising amount of good quality sound (to my ears anyway) in a physical package that I greatly like.

As I've never been a fan of speakers the size of compact automobiles, I find the physical size of the Bose offering one of it's most appealing qualities. (And before you say it, NO, everyone should NOT judge speakers EXCLUSIVELY on sound!) Some of us like NOT having to remove seats from home theater rooms to find space to fit the speakers.

I have NEVER regretted my purchase of Bose speakers. They have been installed in my home since 1999 and I have enjoyed literally thousands of hours of TV, movies, and music with them.

I'm not a reseller of any Bose or other equipment. I'm just a private user with a differing opinion. That's my two cents anyway. See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!

Great stuff.

Next time buy ANY small Energy speaker set up.

Save money and be a man at the same time.

Of course you'd save money buying a set of Genelec's. You wouldn't be throwing any away.

Interestingly enough, I have found surprising quality and wide frequency response in a pair of pineapple cans connected by a high quality string. I use Monster String, but most people cannot tell the difference between that and 20 pound fish line.
I'm just a sheep in wolf's clothing...
