Has anyone thought about a hypothetically networked system of modded X boxes from a central server ?I'm thinking of a hypothetical system with multiple hard drives in a central spot with modded x boxes in every other room all with there own 180Gb hard drives.cabable of sharing and playing every digital format to individual room amplification or processing.
has anyone thought about such a system or seen one and will anyone admit to these thoughts with billy gates laywers scanning the net?

Yes. Of course! I bet most of us here have had these thoughts for a long time, but some of us are too timid to admit it. I, for one, am not!

However, I must admit that I prefer to network Y boxes, but that practice remains questionable. Recent experiments have shown they can be controlled quite functionally using MIDI signals generated by the analog to digital conversion of captured humpback whale mating sounds via a Yamaha AW16G professional audio workstation. But you didn't hear it from me.
I'm just a sheep in wolf's clothing...
