Any opinions on i/r range extenders. I have read about the hot link pro and the terk leapfrog range extenders. Curious if anyone has any opinions here. I just purchased the mx-500 that works great except for some reason my Denon receiver has to have the remote pointed right at it to do anything. With all of my other components I can just point it whereever and they work. Thanks.

have you tried relearning the codes? sometimes a code that is badly learnt can cause problems. As for repeaters, you might have better luck asking in the Custom Installers' Lounge or the Home Theater forum

Thanks Anthony for your quick response. I will try on the other boards. In regards to your response about bad codes, I don't think that is it. This same thing was happening with the original remote from denon. Thanks again
