Not sure if this is the right forum, feel free to move it if needed. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the PCTV IR serial connector? I want to know which pins are in use so I can run it over my cat5 lines without having to hack apart the connector.

1. Read through all instructions before proceeding. 2. Place the serial connector so that the face of the connector is facing away from you with the number one pin in the upper left corner. 3. Starting with the number one pin, and proceeding from left to right, insert the red wire with the white stripe. 4. Insert the white wire with the red stripe into the number two pin. 5. Now find the red and white wire with the opposite color stripe and insert it into the number four pin, thereby skipping the number three pin. 6. Take the white and red wire that looks like the red and white wire you inserted into the number four pin - but is totally different - and insert it into the pin whose number matches the number of electrons in the p orbital of an atom of argon. 7. If you guessed the above was three, pull out all of the wires and start over again. 8. While holding the black and white wire in one hand, roll a pair of dice. If you roll a seven, insert the wire into the number seven pin. Otherwise, skip the number seven pin. 9. Insert the white and black wire (not to be confused with the black and white wire above) into the pin numbered the same as the number of cylinders in your car. This does not apply if you drive a V-12, in which case, you shouldn't be wiring this yourself, you rich S.O.B. If this conflicts with a wire already connected to that pin, disconnect the previous wire and move it to pin number three. You did skip over number three, didn't you? 10. So far, so good. Give yourself a reward and grab a beer. (Vodka is an acceptable alternative if your initials are e.p.) 12. Now find the red and black wire with the white stripe and connect it to the black and red wire with the white stripe. Insert both wires into the same pin as instructed in instruction number 11. 13. This is not a good instruction number if you are supersticious, so just find any loose wire and insert it into any pin of your pet's choice. Fish make good pets. You don't have to housebreak them, and they don't have smelly litter boxes. 14. Did I warn you about having a V-12? Or did I mean a B-12? We should always take good care of ourselves, and vitamins are one way to stay healthy. 15. Break time again. Count the number of beers left in the fridge, and if you are getting low, go get more now. I'll wait. 16. I'm waiting. 17. This is my daughter's favorite number, so we won't goof around right here. 18. If you're old enough to join the military at 18, you should have the right to quaff a beer or two, don't you think? OK, are you back with another six pack yet? Good, let's proceed. 19. Oops, I forgot where we left off. Maybe you should call our technical help line, as instructed in instruction #20: 20. Call 1-800-cat5-pin. Your call is very important to us. Please stay on the line and the next available technical nerd will listen to your pathetic plea for help before informing you that you should have called 1-800-dia-gram. But he/she will transfer you now, so please stay on the line until one hour and fifty-four minutes have passed, at which point you will then be switched to a busy signal. 21. I sure hope you read this before proceeding, as instructed in instruction number one. If not, please proceed to the refrigerator and kindly finish off the six pack before the Mrs. gets home and sees you crying in your beer.
