Well, here we are, on the East Coast, Isabel has passed, and we have no power. (I'm running on a generator, in case you're wondering.) Our water requires boiling for drinking or cooking. Many trees have fallen, but not in our yard (knock on (what else) wood).

If you look outside, it looks like nothing ever happened. The sky is a beautiful blue, the temperature is great, and I can't do today's work because the county offices are closed, and we can't pick up our permit. Oh well, at least we have our health!

Glad to be alive.:-) The lights flickered a couple of times and I lost all my settings on my A/V receiver, twice, still haven't reset a second time. But it was sure blowing around here Maryland.

Well let's see. . . the Bear Creek in Dundalk, Maryland has overflowed its banks and the playground is under 30 inches of water. The power has flickered a few times, and the management of the apartment complex I live at has put up warnings that a transformer is shorted and for the tenants keep off the grass (to prevent electrocution, I guess). The wind has dried everything out, the Sun is shining and the tide is coming in. Otherwise everything is just honky-dory.

Larry, I think he's still feeling a little depressed. Yesterday he came within a hairs breadth of getting one of these, but then lost from a goal that came in the dying seconds of the game. (But then he hasn't yet seen the renovated 105's. Collectors items in the making . . . even if I do say so myself).

The power is back on! Yay! I was getting tired of the drone of my generator. Power came back on around 5:30 P.M. in our neighborhood. It was about time, too.

We need to do laundry and run the dishwasher. It's nice to have AC again, too. Gee, how did our ancestors ever survive without electricity. Where would HT be without it?

The damned hurricane missed us. I wish it hit. I coulda made a killing on service, damned capitalist that I am.

P.S. However, I would not have wanted anyone to get hurt. Just the insurance companies that charge us all five times what it should cost to insure us. After all, take a look at the biggest and best buildings in every major city. if they aren't banks, they are insurance companies.
I'm just a sheep in wolf's clothing...
