we all know a plane gets lift from a curved wing so how can they fly up side down?

A plane gets maximum efficient lift from a curved wing in nominal flight. Horsepower (thrust) and tail plane surfaces can correct for attitude in an inverted situation. Hope this helps you.

well, in fact, planes don't fly upside down. god never intended man to have the ability to fly and just never set the "keep the earth on the bottom" thrusters strong enough to counteract the horsepower of airplane engines.

so when you see an airplane flying "upside down", actually the earth has been forcefully slung
up & over the airplane.

this is why so many people get sick to their stomach either when simply viewing the maneuver, or are actually so foolhardy enough to attempt it themselves (or even be on board such an aircraft).

Even though we may disagree about flight characteristics, I am pleased that the above posts have correct spelling attributes. However, there can be some improvements on capitalization.

First time on this forum (I am usualy on the pronto forum) and found this thread.
Ok we now know how planes fly, upside down or otherwise, but on a helecopter, the big rotor blades lift the helecopter into the air, the tail rotor blades stop it spining on its axis but what gives it its forward propulsion?

could be jets on one so equipped.

or the forward (or rear, left, right) tilt of the main rotor plus a cyclical pitch change in each rotor blade to increase the angle of attack opposite the direction the pilot wishes to move.
