As some of you know, or remember. I am on a waiting list for a transplante of my corna in my left eye. This morning my doctor called me telling me to come in on Monday for the transplante.

So it might be a while until I will be able to come back to READ this stuff. I will try, but if not then oh well.

Well, that explains your mispellings (oops) misspellings then! Your lack of prefection is excused for now. :-)
Good luck!

prefection).

Re edit: I will be taking the rest of the day off to beat myself up for the above misspelling. Even with working corneas, it is difficult to be prefect!

Wow does my left eye hurt right now.

Every thing went pefectly.

I was perfectly realaxed and laughiing all the way up to the point of seeing the operation room. Which was when I started to feel woozy, and it just was like "im getting this done".

I was schedule to have local, but I told them that I do not want to see anything to put me asleep please. The doctor said it would be better for him anways to have me asleep. Since local might swell the eye some, if it does. So I was happy that they put me under.

I got there at 12 and left at 430. The sugrey didn't start until about 2. Imgaine that. A hour for the surgry and a hour for recovery time.

My left eye hurts right now because of all the stiches that are in there. And with me opening my right eye, my left wants to open as well. Which it does because I can see some light. I asked them if they could tape it up better so that it can kept closed. But they told me it best as is because they didnt' want to put too much pressure on it. It just feel so much better keeping it closed. But right now with the med that I am, it's the same either way. Or either because it's been 4 hours since I left and the stiches are going away. Or Im just getting use to them.

Well I just wanted to let you people know that I am fine and all.....

By the way, forgive all my mistakes as I changed my settings on the input speed of my key board. Before I went up. And I am only usiing my right eye. :-)

First of all I never seen that movie. The only tom cruse moive that I saw was Top Gun.
I had my mom read me the papers in the bag that they gave me. And from the sounds of it. The patch is supposed to be taken off tomorrow. Will be able to see out of it. But their not sure on how clear. Since it's not my tissue any more. Plus some of the post op swelling.

If however after a week or so I still can't see that well. With my glasses I will have to go to my regular eye doctor to receive contacts. As least for that eye. My right eye has the same problem as my left. But not as bad. I'ts in the stage where I can still use glasses. Where my left eye was too far even for contacts. Not only was my left eye to the extream of being in a weird shape. But also had a "cloud" on top of the hights peck.

So far my right eye is doing ook. Still has the problem but can be corrected with glasses. In the future however, it may need contacts. If not including the same procedure. Im just grateful that both weren't done at the same time. In a way because if both were just as bad. Then I coyldn't live life that I have for the past eight years.

Well gotta go Im dossing off here.

My father needed cataract surgery in both eyes, but had the right one done first, he never went back for left. Too painful. I was crossed-eyed when was young, had a lazy eye. So I wore a patch over my good eye for month to get me to use my left eye more.

A little update here.

I went for my month after check up today. The doctor told me that my transplated eye looks perfect. He wishes that everyone's looked like mine. He even had me take some pictures of them. When I get them I'll post them. But someone has to let me use their site to publish them. That is if I can scan them in.

He also said that with it looking so well. I may not need to get a contact lens for it. So I can stick to wearing glasses. Which I much rather perfer. Since my body is so freakin dry.

I was kind of afraid that I might not get such a good check up. Because I am a smoker, and a drinker. Maybe they helped..... lol Though I am tring to quit both of them.

I asked him to take measurements of my right eye to compare them to my first visit back in May of last year. There is a very little in change. So with that said, he said that I may not even need surgrey in that eye at all. I pray that I don't.
