Bought myself an LP spinner and want to know of a decent source for vinyl. Anyone got any suggestions?

Vinyl? Isn't that what they made those big black 12 inch things outta? You remember, those things what used to play music before the CD came along. And, wait a minute, weren't somma then only 7 inches and played a bit faster. It's bringing' back the memories!

Actually the LP wasn't really all that bad, until RCA decided to go warp factor one, cut costs and halve the thickness of the darn things. Then some wags started using recycled vinyl which really put the snap crackle and pop into the sound. (But then being the old cynic that I am, I now sometimes wonder if that was done deliberately to try and encourage the change to CD).

Fortunately salvation was at hand with the likes of Sheffield Labs, Nimbus and of course MFSL (of which I had a number). Pity I didn't keep them. Have you seen how much a mint MFSL disc sells for these days?

Kab.
By all means check out the garage and send me an e-mail with what you've got.

If you find a dusty old copy of "God Save The Queen" by the Sex Pistols on the A&M label in that garage sale, be sure to let me know.

Bob,

Dippin' the ol' toe back in the water. Nowt super-duper just a Project 1.2 (got it in a swap for me MX500) but it works really rather well. Have changed the cartridge for a Sumiko Blue Point though.

Music types preferred; most, apart from that dog yowling screech they call "Country Music." These people seem to cover a good deal of what I like.

Hmmm, no reference to the music. Not a closet "Country" fan by any chance?

Get a lot of johnnys in a condom machine - but they don't play very well.

(Sorry Bob. Is that better?)
