Maybe you have the DVD in upside down, and maybe you're pointing the remote in the wrong direction, maybe you're in someone else's house!

If you determine that you ARE at someone else's house, follow these directions to get to your house:

Head South East on NorthWest Drive, and you will stop at two stop signs. After the second, you will see your house on your left, behind a 12' chain link, barbwire fence. Follow instructions below to get home:

Before ~10:00pm: Close your eyes and spin around (counter clockwise) 5 times, then proceed in the opposite direction 2.63 kilometers and turn left at the second stop sign, just before the hole in the fence. Continue (south) along this road, passing your house on your right (walking backwards); then turn right at the second stop sign. Follow that road around to the right, where it eventually becomes Werthuhellami Lane. Continue past two stop signs, and then turn into either the second or third driveway on your left (it varies with the phases of the moon). Directly ahead or slightly to the left (depending on the current phase of the moon), you will see a 7-11; to your right, through the parking lot, is your house. You can park anywhere, but you might as well park as close to your house as possible -- this parking lot serves both your house and the 7-11.

After ~10:00pm various barricades go down and block the simple route outlined above. so instead, go straight on to the third stop sign. After that stop sign, the road will curve to the left. As it does so you will see a sign on your right saying THIS WAY HOME. Turn right into the parking lot -- it will be the first possible turn during the curve, on your right -- and park anywhere. Walk north to the hole in the chain link fence, cross the street and enter your front door.

IF YOU NEGOTIATE THE MINEFIELD IN THE DRIVE
BEAT THE DOGS AND CHEAT THE COLD ELECTRONIC EYES
AND IF YOU MAKE IT PAST THE SHOTGUN IN THE HALL
DIAL THE COMBINATION, OPEN THE PRIESTHOLE
AND IF I'M IN I'LL TELL YOU WHAT'S BEHIND THE WALL

(Oh PIFFLE! Wrong thread again).

Go down that road 'bout 3-4 miles and make a left where the watertower used to be. Then make a right (or is it a left? If Zeke is standn' there ask him) at the place we had that big picnic just before you moved here. If you go past where the bridge go blown up then you went too far.

{P.S. Please hurry)

We'll be glad to help Alan, but we'll need a picture of your wife/girlfriend first so we can anticipate your needs.

Sorry, wife/girlfriend no longer here. I've been trying to program this $%^& weemote for several months now, and, well, she asked "Can I watch a DVD NOW?" one too many times.

Services are tomorrow. No viewing - closed casket.
