This ia a 5-day time-lapse of a 2-story home being demolished by a backhoe, followed by rubble cleanup and preparation of the land for its new life as a parking lot for a car dealership.
I filmed this back in 2001 with my very first digital camera, a 1.9 megapixel (1600x1200) Epson PhotoPC 850Z, and only converted it into video format this weekend. 1 photo was taken every 30 seconds - a total of over 6,500 photos in 5 days. Doing this actually wore the poor camera out - near the end the focus was failing, plus the shutter kept sticking so I'd have photos that were partially to fully blocked. I had to pull out 1,500 bad or severely out of focus shots from the sequence.
Very cool, Daniel. Running commentary was a nice touch.
