seriously is this a big deal in the USA?
we have a watershed in the uk after a certain time in the uk they can say more naughty words early in the day and evening they cant

As a Brit who has lived in Chicago for 18 years, I can say it's different over here. The media (and what;'s OK in business conversations) are less potrty-mouthed here.
My favorite aspect of the difference in action is when they show stuff on BBC America and bleep out the obvious naughty words, but miss some of the more colorful and arcane vocabulary, because they don't realize how rude it is...
