The original. (A still taken from either the very first or second episode - 1963.)

Not much changes - circa mid eighties.

The renaissance.

The very new - [Link: radiotimes.com]

And, of course, The Doctors.

I always thought they should do a season inside the tardis exploring all the rooms (worlds even) inside it
The rumours are this new season we will see more rooms

I hope CBC will be carrying it, but have not heard anything.

Other rooms have featured, but long ago.

I believe the interior is infinitely large, though I doubt the BBC budget can stretch to that.

Funny, I just wanted the second half of the Christmas special this week (so I'm running behind, sue me). I noted at the end that they kind of destroyed the interior, so I was excited that they may actually be updating the interior.

Wasn't there some explanation that this was simply the TARDIS' "coral" desktop theme? ;-)

I'm just amazed they got it past the Health and Safety Gestapo - a raised platform with no safety barrier!

I would describe the one you have listed under "The renaissance" as "Organic Steampunk".

The new one looks like the cheesecake factory in Chicago.

You know the problem I have with CBC playing them? They cut the episodes. For the last episode of the regular season, they cut it from 63 minutes (without commercials) to 44 minutes. That's a full 19 minutes of cuts!

Why couldn't they have aired it uncut in a 90 minute slot??

And the verdict on Matt Smith . . .

Not bad, not bad at all - and I rather like the new interior.

I think he will not have as many female fans as Tennant or male ones for that matter but he is certainly a good actor as does have a truly alien presence about him.
I was a bit disappointed on the clips on the j ross show revisiting cyber men , daleks war time london seems same old stuff i would like a little more imagination rather than the same old baddies give us some new more terrifying baddies bit like next generation did with the borg

liked the new tardis and the new assistant, who is easy on the eye

Well, I completely believe the new guy as the Doctor. So this should be a good season.

Plus the new TARDIS has a pinball machine in the control panel, so it's got to be good!

I rather like the old enemies, probably due to my growing up with them, but the weeping angels are also back - "Blink" being one of my all time favourite episodes.

I do agree about the assistant, though considering the transformation comment about his once again managing to avoid being a "Ginger" (pronounced with a hard G), I find her being a redhead somewhat ironic. A rather nice irony though.

PS
As an aside, I found the Borg episodes of STNG and Voyager the only ones really worth watching, though given the subsequent Enterprise episode I can't understand how they knew nothing of them.

In season 5 during a temporal cold war episode.. enterprise is sent back in time before the borg episode. the encounter never happened :).

That or maybe they forgot to back up their data?
