Last new thread was back in June.

I kinda miss pointing out all the bad writting, and out to lunch articles.

This is funny because i was just thinking the same thing yesterday. Maybe they got tired of all the "why this or that sucks" responses :).

yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Maybe a change in personnel? But it could be they are tired of guys telling them what is wrong with the article.

I truly believe RC has a slightly more "educated" user base, so what may be accepted as ~fact~ at some other sites [cough] AVS [/cough] simply because it made "article" status. Doesn't mean it holds water here...

Maybe you're right guys.... Maybe they simply got tired of trying to spam us with AV Lemming food.

On AVS it looks like Steve Crowe posts in the CePro/EH forum everyday except Sat/Sun. Julie has a few posts in there as well

Not sure why they have stopped posting here or dropped to a here and there post

I did see it is cmckenney that posts here and not Steve. Maybe cmckenney has left the building??

Maybe Julie can shed some light on this subject??

You get access after you reach 3000 posts.... :)

It's kinda of a "break" in period for the newbs.

Once you get to that point you can find it in the RC forum index.

I can't be doing with this. We've got several serious/semi-serious threads all going at once, my brain's going to explode.

oh, really...I wasn't...

Lots of things "unlock" when you hit a 3000 post count.

Well, i was going to post this thread in the CEPro/EH forum, but it's locked out to the normal member.

Hmm . . . I suppose hijacking an existing thread would be frowned upon.

Well djy, I did exactly what you suggested, and here are the results.

Shortly after I posted this:

[Link: remotecentral.com]
--------------------------------------------------------
"As it is IMHO, this forum gives an otherwise fantasic site a black eye.

....Some new user stumbles across RC and sees this forum expecting to read the latest and greatest articles, and ends up seeing it, (for all intensive purposes) unused by the people it was created for. That paints a pretty sad picture of how seriously the industry (CE Pro/Electronic House) feel about RC as a resource.

I'm just kinda curious how long this forum will be allowed to drift in limbo before it gets removed and the server space re-utilized."
--------------------------------------------------------

RC's home page is now the only way to access the CE Pro/EH forum.
http://www.remotecentral.com

If you scan RC's forum index page. You'll notice the link to the same forum is gone.

I'm thinking it being phased out but some things have been missed.
