I guess I'm the type that if you are going with a theme I prefer going full out with a theme. I like the blue and the color contrast is gives you as a background ... just seems out of place if you are "themed". I guess, for me, it seems hard not to be specifically themed with the name you are using.

With people's various religious beliefs there are always going to be people that will mistake this Ouija reference as a evil Satan thing.
Just tell your sister that Satanist need House Control systems too.

... or maybe direct her to a mirror site called one of the following: Gui-Taffy, Gui-Candy, Gui-Caramel etc.

Alright Strype.. you win :).

I decided to use wordpress to manage the files so i ditched the ideas i had in this thread. It took me a while to sort thru guijaboard and get the files organized and uploaded.... so i havent had much time to play with the graphics but heres what i got so far. What do you think?

I decided to dedicate guijaboard to buttons and templates and use wiremunky for photoshop funny's and installation related stuff. I am going to start posting some install pics that bossman OK's.

Nice Job Stamp! I like it. I hope others do to.

You managed to be in a place that is both true to your theme but not overboard.
Floating the content place mat over the fixed background is a simple yet nice touch that adds to your ability to stay in a theme but at the same time not having a viewer be distracted by the theme. The theme is defiantly not overpowering the content. I think having that background image blown up so you see just part of a board really helps with this.

Another thing I like about keeping to the muted tea stain colors of the theme is that vibrate color contrast of your actual gui and button work (compared to the background & themed buttons) causes these highlighted works to now jump off the page. This makes it easier, as a viewer, to be focused on what you are trying to show me.

Good Job!

Question: Why the date tags? are you planning to update often like a blog or is it more for your organization?

The blog layout works perfectly for organizing posts into categories and keeping all the new stuff at the top of the front page. The wordpress interface has a checkbox that i click to decide what category a post winds up. Its pretty simple yet powerful once you invest the time to learn how to navigate it.

Another nice feature is comments. I get a few emails here and there from people about my site but most people dont have the time. With comments it will be much easier for people to communicate with me.

I spent about 16 hours total researching wordpress, learning how to add it to my website and getting it configured. Getting the content loaded is not included in that estimate, it took another 8 hours to sort thru all the stuff i had at guijaboard and seperate it and load it to the new blogs. That will only happen once (hopefully) and thank the stars i didnt have much content.

I am using a wordpress template that i got from press75.com. I did not design or create it. I spent some time tweaking it and i made the background graphics & a download and email button and thats pretty much it. The guy who designed it gave the edges a little bit of transparency so it blends right in with any background.
