Hey guys,

My partner and I have decided to part ways, for a while at least. 4 break-ups in as many months is probably a good sign that your relationship needs some help, or a break. We opted for the latter.

I have a good friend working in Vancouver at present and I am considering going over to visit him for a while around June/July. I was talking to an older friend this evening and he said I should do a little trip while I'm there, like he did years ago.

He told me when I'm done in Vancouver I should hire a car and drive my ass down to LAX to fly home, taking in a few stops along the way. I'm looking at spending 2-3 weeks over there in total, and wondering how much of that time I should dedicate to the road-trip.

I'd also like to know of any "Must-See" places I may encounter, or make a point of visiting that won't be too far out of the way.

Any help appreciated!

Cheers,

Robbie.

Lots of good sightseeing in Oregon. Depends on what you are into. Lots of pubs in Portland (which you are passing through). Coast has some awesome scenery. Some great wildlife viewing in the Cascades. Lift ride/lunch at Mt Bachelor in the summer is pretty cool. View from I-5 is OK, but there is better scenery if you take a longer route.

Wow! I had no idea that route would cover so many cool places.

Looks like I got planty of homework to do.

Most of the places (except NYC) that I would like to see are on this route, so it looks like I should take my time.

Thanks for the poster 39, made it alot clearer!

Thanks for the input so far.

Robbie.

Robbie,
You are coming right through my front yard. It would be cool if you could stop in Pismo beach for a spell. We have the worlds hottest chicks serving the worlds coldest beer and we would be happy to show you around. We'll even put you up for the night. Paul (SB Smarthomes) is just up the road and Roddy, Ernie and a few others are within a couple hours. We should all get together when you come through.

What?!?!? No stop in Vegas!?!?!?

If you're coming all the way from Australia you have to see the spectacle that is Las Vegas (especially if you are a newly single bachelor!!)...the home of anything you want any time of day, yes even on Christmas :-)

Hey Robbie, I should be up in Van by then. Give me a shout!
