I don't speak French.
I know even less about the French pop music charts or what are classic French pop songs.

Now i know that in Canada there is a massive French speaking community , i am hoping there are some that sing too.. so they can help me.

I was recently asked if i had any French language karaoke at my shows ..i didn't
They are coming back in two weeks so i would like some songs for them when they come back.

I was hoping some French speakers here may be able to tell me what the karaoke top ten the French language is.

You don't have to be a karaoke singer to know this ..as most people in the UK would say... Angels , i will survive, my way etc are the most common sang in bars as that's what they will have heard at such venues.

I need the same sort of thing but with French songs with French lyrics

if any one can help i would be very grateful , it would give me an idea on what to buy

cheers

Rob

Sorry man, I can't help. I am not into French music, but I would also guess that it would depend who they are, I am guessing the French music in Montreal is different then in Paris. You would have probably been better off if you asked them some of their favourite bands or songs. Because after all musical taste is very individualistic.

you might look into Air, they're a french band that's popular worldwide. most of their music is in english though.

You should try listening to French children's music. It explains a lot.
