Plus, he's getting stiffed by the Rethugs... An uphill battle, but hey-He's trying.

The Stocks are showing the biggest increase this month in a couple years.

I saw his virtual meeting and i wish our politicians were as direct in giving answers as he was ..from memory one question and answer sticks in my head...when will the manufacturing jobs come back?.his reply was something like..they probably will never and those sort of low paid jobs we dont want as there is always some other country willing to pay its workers a wage you couldnt live on. .. honest straight to the point his plan is to educate and promote higher skilled jobs so Americans can earn decent wages doing quality jobs..sounds like sense to me.

Mr Brown talks in riddles and is not straight forward and direct.

I still think the world is happier Obama is president than many Americans

Very refreshing to have someone who speaks like a normal human being.

The internet, bringing events to people as they are actually happening, before goverment or corporate controlled media gets a chance to put a spin on the story.. is why old school politics and politicians are on their way out the door.

On one hand.. it sucks to see all of the manufacturing jobs go to other countries. On the other hand.. I dont want to spray doll faces all day in a factory. If we stopped needing/wanting/buying dolls that have their faces painted this wouldnt be an issue.

A $20.00 doll can cost 10.00 to make. The company gets $5.00 and the employee who made the doll gets $5.00 of the profit. (this is what happened before jobs were shipped to other contries)

Or..

The $20.00 doll can cost $1.00 to make (because we threw safety and envirnomental concerns out the window) and the company gets the whole $19.00 profit because they dont have to split it up with pesky employees. (this is whats happening now)

Great.. so now places like china have jobs coming in that earn them $1 per doll. I wonder what its going to cost to clean China up when all of their industrial waste bites them in the ass. I wonder where all of the Chinese will move to when the water and soil cant be used anymore. I wonder how their military might will best be used when they have to deal with this mess. Hopefully they dont attack a neighbor so they have more space to build. That kind of thing never happens right?

Ok so now the company has the whole $19.00! Awesome! Time to build houses and boats and home theaters! WooHoo! I learned how to wire up theaters so i enjoy more take home pay than some. Sounds great.. until the market crashes a little and people stop spending money on toys. Thankfully im still working but many in my industry are not. And.. those low paying jobs that we dont want.. would come in handy right now if they existed. Or maybe not... I really dont know.

The whole thing is confusing to me. I will be the first to admit im very good at my job and im incredibly attractive but i never claimed to be intelligent. Hopefully... now that we have a normal human being in the white house i wont have to worry about these things so much.

He seems to have been well received by Russia, the UK, Japan and China.
Nice to hear a president who can speak in complete sentences, and make sense - after 8 years of "GWB".

After seeing the reactions of the press in Europe, over Obama's visit, and how he is being received, yeah, I'm still proud of the new prez.
