Rush is an idiot but it's OK for Lowery to say "when black will not be asked to get back, when brown can stick around when yellow will be mellow when the red man can get ahead, man and when white will embrace what is right." at the inaguration and nothing is said about the incredible reverse racism. Without the white vote Obama would not have been elected. That's an insult to every white that voted for Obama but that's OK.

I did not hear the speech, so there could be more to it, but why is asking for equality reverse racism? (assuming that by reverse racism you mean racism against white)

How racist can whites be if they were the ones that put Obama in office? Without the white vote Obama would have got smoke he could have pulled 100% of the black vote (he got 95%) that in and of itself is racist when you look and the overall break down as 53/45. He would have lost by 112,570,765 votes. So there were 112,570,765 people of other races that voted for Obama. The racism in this country while not eliminated is minimal and isn't much of what exists will never change. There is also more racism by blacks against whites and against other blacks than there is whites of blacks - IMHO.

When I am forced to listen to Rush Limbaugh I can make some of the imbecility go away by pretending that he's just a really, really, really, really, really good satirist, the master of unintended irony; and that some day he will get on the air and say "My fellow Americans, I've just been screwing with you all for 2 decades as part of a large-scale reverse-psychology experiment." I get my news analysis from Jon Stewart.

if someone said all whites are racists, then I would agree with you, I also agree that racism exists in more people then just from whites, and I also agree that some people that see racism just want to see racism (then again just because someone is paranoids does not mean someone is not after them). But do you think that if (just making a point) 1/2 or 1/3 the white people are racist and so voted against him (and no I don't think that all the people that voted republican did so because they are racist, though I am guessing some might have just because they are) that he could not have won? I tink for many blacks (and other minorities) this shows that anything is possible and the American dream is possible and reachable to all.

Obama election has shown that the corner has been turned so why did Lowery say what he did? Everytime some one plays the race card they are making a mockery of the deaths of Andrew Goodman, Michael Schwerner, Jonathan Daniels, Rev. Bruce Klunder, William Moore and Rev. James Reeb. All white and all killed because of their stand against segregation during the civil rights movement. They had no dog in this fight their lives weren't going to get better they did what was "right". The other sad thing about all the hoopla over Obama is the disservice that it does to all the incredibly successful black people that went before him and many in the heart of segregation.

Where in Lowery's prayer did he "play the race card", "insult every white that voted for Obama", and "make a mockery of [freedom riders et al.]"? [Btw, naming six whites who weren't racists is not the same as proving that no whites are racist.]

Praying for the hastening of the day when "white will embrace what is right" is about as offensive as when your mother told you to hurry up and eat your vegetables because they're good for you. Her pro-vegetable bias made a mockery of every child who ever ate anything green.

Any differences you notice in appearance is the direct result of the geological location of our ancestors. Lots of sun.. dark skin.. lots of cold tiny bodies..

Im afraid this means that your not any better or any worse than anyone else just because you look different. Im afraid your going to have to be judged on your personality and actions.

I know its scary and sometimes it will be hard... but your just going to have to get off your moms recliner and go do something with your life now that its not cool to be one race or the other :-/
