In all of these sex scandals with the politicians involved... it seems so harsh for the politician to get up there in front of the podium and cameras with the poor wife by their side.
How humiliating would that be for (her)?
Mark Spitzer's deal is a good example.
If I was his wife, I'd tell him to go "F" himself, and wouldn't be standing by the assh*le's side at the press conference--- by the way... That guy (Spitzer) seems like the biggest a-hole imaginable, just they way he gave that stupid little speech, and didn't even introduce or aknowledge his wife.
If that had been my ex, I wouldn't have MADE it to that press conference anyway, because she would have castrated me with the kitchen knife beforehand!

. . . as opposed to Eliot 'I'm not waving, I'm drowning' Spitzer.

As for the castration bit, I think the media have done a pretty decent job . . .

She probably will come with a little baggage my friend. Maybe a little chip on her shoulder. I also imagine she might place a GPS tracker on her next guys ride...

Yeah, well we all have a little baggage.
$80,000 on the girls... He was a pretty busy guy. I guess the one he was "working with" was 22 years old.

You know it's a bad deal, but hey... at least he didn't have an affair, but sounds like it was sort of an addiction for the guy.

Still feel badly for his wife and 3 daughters... can you imagine all the crap they are going to have to hear and put-up with --- WOW!

My wife said if that was her she would have beat the crap out of him and stood on the stage next to him smiling. So that when the reporters asked about his black-eye and busted lip she would say she did it.

I have not even mentioned this story to my wife. She hates the news so she isn't privy to this information, but the thought that someone could do something like drop 80k on "someones company" would surely land a slap broad side my arm just for being of the male persuation. I'm guessing if she does stay with him, he will live a miserable existance. Not only in the public eye, but I know how quickly my wife lets things go...(can you say never)..I can't imagine....

Uh yeah, I had an online (nonsexual) relationship with a female... My (now ex wife), discovered it, and even though I tried to keep things together, she divorced me over it, even against the advice of a counselor or two. When I say nonsexual... I mean that we never discussed any of that stuff online... just pretty much discussing news, our kids, and our daily work experiences... internet pen-pals so to speak.
My Ex is a hot-headed Irish girl... That was 17 years ago... she is still bitter etc. She'll never let it go, yet if she did or could, she'd be a happier person.
Whew!

Err, nope. It's more to do with Maureen O'Hara being the quintessential Irish Virago. However, I suppose it does also rather beg the question of whether Mr Stanley is a quiet man.
