At Christmas a fiend of ours bought us a bottle of Château Bastor-Lamontagne 2003 Sauternes > i opened it up tonight and boy this is a little cracker its incredibly sweet it tastes like juicy candied fruit its going down great with a chunk of stilton. I recommend this great wine for after dinner to accompany a tarty fruit dessert or a cheese platter.

One of the best wines i have had in ages

any one else into wine?
what's your favourite (doesn't have to be expensive just what you like)

B****y weather! It's either b****y raining, blowing, freezing or b****y snowing. When's it ever going to warm up a little? . . .

I'm sorry, is this the five minute whine, or the full half hour?

If I drank a wine that tasted like a candied fruit... I don't know that I'd be as happy.

Around there there's a great thing called 2 buck chuck.

It's really not that great... In fact I only had it twice...

Fat Bastard ... not a bad wine.. readily available. catchy name.

expensive wine is a lot like expensive perfume. What's the did... It can cost 10 X and be a piece of crap. Good wine comes from experience.. and interesting grapes.

I'd rather drink the hobo wine. That's excess.

I have to agree BUT even i can taste a massive difference occasionally .The wine i had is one of those rare times i taste something and am blew away by how good and different it is.

Its a lot like the AV game there is a lot of the same stuff then there is the odd occasional gem that shines
just thought someone here might want to seek out those odd ,rare ,special wines..

i have drank many wines(no surprise there ) and i know of a few very inexpensive wines that i love .I was hoping that some of you here had some inexpensive cracking wines that you could recommend also.
