I am a guitarist/bassist and when I practice I often like to play along with various CD's thru headphones (living in a London flat). The issue I'm encountering is that when I mix and match different songs/albums/groups, I'm constantly having to re-tune the instrument; nobody wants to tune to A440 anymore (Grrrr!). I have a pitch control pedal but it's just not accurate enough because often the tracks are not complete half or whole step increments....one track may be 1/5 step out of tune with another. So I says to myself, I says "Self.....if I can rip these songs to mp3, find a software program that does minutia pitch correction, and re-burn them to a single disc, I'd be golden!" Only problem is all of the software programs I've come across only do half-step increments. I haven't found one that does any finer-scale adjustments....not counting Pro-Tools or anything of that caliber.
Anyone have any ideas?

Must confess I've no real idea about playing (at school I could just about manage a couple of bars on a recorder, then I'd wing it) but I'm not so bad a searching. Might help though if you tell me (us) what you've already tried.
PS I do rather like bass.
