i guess no.
try going to a specialty retailer, small type, not electronics warehouse type and ask the salesman the tough questions, like, if i buy this from you can you help me learn how to use it?
thats why us ci types have jobs!

I wonder how much clearer Daniel can make the forum descriptions? :-) well it says Note: this is not the correct place for questions related to remote controls - please post those to one of our many other forums! and Where our members can talk about anything not already covered by one of the other chat forums. Got a remote control related question? Don't ask it in here! that is why I actually answered. Personally I would have gone with "DVD Movies & Hardware" or "Home Theater" but then again I know the different forums :)

My dads just bought a Panasonic DMR-EZ25 this plays and records to DVD-/+R and RW and DVD-RAM it had a DVB tuner in it and a SD card slot.
It does what it should for the price BUT it suffers from what a lot of electronics seem to now..its built to a price so seems almost toy-ish it feels cheap because it is.
Little things like no open close on the remote even though it is remote capable of open and close..The SD card seems only to play pictures and copy to DVD RAM disc and no other disc format ,tacky plastic flaps badly ,designed menus ,rubbish instruction book etc make what could be a fantastic product just good in my eyes.
This according to reviews is one of the best recorders..gone are the days of top notch machines . Its about bang for buck and not ultimate performance.
