I saw where this election is being followed with a lot of interest in other countries.

truth be told, I am not paying attention to it that much, even when here where I pay a bit of attention in partie politics my ears just perk up once it comes time to choose between who is the least worst. If you ask me to tell you anything about any of their platform I could not tell you.

God, I hope things in this country change this time around.

that I can agree with you, not only for the worlds sake but also for your own sake. Before he took power the US$ was real high and now it is in the gutter. Obviously something has gone wrong.
who's word? when Disney picked BR they said it was the extra capacity and 50Gb disks that was a major factor for their choice.

I find it funny how public these races are. It is just so different from here.

Yeah, they are kind of embarrassing spectacles... Like schoolyard kids, name calling etc.

He still seems down in terms of delegates and i believe from what i have read this is the important thing delegates and not states. but there is still a way to go..why cant you just sort it out on one night and get done with it? lol its like an expensive running soap opera..lol

I know, that is what I find most odd. It gets so easy for people to do strategic voting.

projections say he might have got Maine don't know what that means in terms of delegates

Al Jazeera news says this
"The next contests take place on Tuesday in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia, states with high numbers of independent and African American voters expected to favour Obama.

The Clinton camp, meanwhile, is eyeing March 4 votes in Ohio and Texas, both of whom command a higher number of delegates."

Yeah, it is a REALLY close race!

Obama is on a roll right now, but I am worried about Texas & Hillary. She has managed to win the big states.

It is a real nail biter, and will continue to be one.

The more research I do on Obama, and the more I hear him speak, the more I hope he can pull ahead & win.

His wife is also a very intelligent, well spoken person & Harvard Grad.

In the latest round of primaries, Mr Obama has clinched Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. With eight consecutive primary wins behind him, Mr Obama is beginning to look formidable and the manner of his victory on Tuesday looks ominous for Mrs Clinton, says the BBC's North America editor, Justin Webb.
Mrs Clinton, who has recently lost a number of key staff, indicated she would be focusing on the races in Ohio and Texas in March as her best hope to retake the lead.

"We're going to sweep across Texas in the next three weeks," she said, making no mention of the three contests she lost.

Hillary Clinton
12 states, 1,198 delegates
Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee
Barack ObamaBarack Obama
22 states, 1,223 delegates
Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia, Washington state
2,025 delegates needed for nomination. Source AP (includes all kinds of delegates)

next lot
19 Feb: Wisconsin (bi-party), Hawaii caucus (D)
4 March: Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas, Vermont (bi-party)

Do you guys think Clinton or Obama will win Texas and Ohio?

Well, ha... a week ago, I would have assumed Hillary would clinch Texas, but Obama seems to be an explosively growing "movement" and is getting support from what experts say are a lot of Hillary's demographics... namely lower income, blue collar, and hispanic, single mothers, union worker voters --- so NOW I think he could upset Hillary in Ohio & Texas.
The breadth of his wins last night in shear numbers has shocked everyone, even the Obama camp.
It looks like even if he wins Texas and or Ohio, it will still be up to what the Super delegate vote is.
Personally, I think Hillary and Bill will do something in the next week or so to screw up their image & chances, because of the pressure they are currently under, to defeat Obama.
It's a heck of a competition.
I think Hillary is losing serious momentum, and the newscasts in the states here are really putting a good "Spin" on Obamas' successes as of late.

It is fun to watch.

according to the beeb;

Mr Obama, the senator for Illinois, has won the primary in Wisconsin, and is also projected to take victory in Hawaii - his 10th win in a row.

Hillary Clinton
13 states, 1,218 delegates

Barack Obama
21 states, 1,281 delegates

It is a major disappointment for Mrs Clinton, the senator for New York, who had been hoping to restore momentum to her campaign.
Instead, Mr Obama was reported to have gained almost equal support from white women, and to have polled well from working-class Democrats - both groups which have usually supported Mrs Clinton.
Mr Obama also took the youth vote and six out of 10 self-described independent voters, according to exit polls for ABC.
But he and Mrs Clinton are already looking ahead to March's bigger contests in Ohio and Texas, seen by analysts as crucial to her credibility as a candidate.

so it does seem down to Texas and Ohio

Hoffa, the Prez. of the Teamsters labor union endorsed Obama today.

That was a big blow (no pun intended, Bill), to the Clintons.
