I want people leading us who have lived a bit of life , have had failures but have worked through the hard times these people would show character far beyond a privileged up bringing or money earned from treading on us little people.

Unfortunately money and the media will always stop the good guys from becoming our leaders in England IMHO.

I don't know what idea the rest of the world has about my country but this comedic picture about a Liverpool nativity scene is funny as it is so close to reality

Yet our politicians sit around spending our taxes on anything but attacking the causes of the image above.

Obama, and the excitement surrounding him, reminds me a little of Kennedy. I hope he doesn't meet the same fate. Makes me paranoid.

We need change over here so badly, and someone who can repair a lot of the international damage that has been done by our current leadership.

ANYTHING is better than what we have now.

Thats a great summing up of things in that picture.

In the US, we are seeing the middle class dying off. The middle class today has both parents working hard, and still not being able to make ends meet or save any money.

Used to be Middle class had it pretty sweet. Now they (we) are becoming the working poor, living from paycheck to paycheck.

How much has been spent on our situation in Iraq... I can't call it a war since it was really an occupation on our part.

As far as businesses go over here, all the small businesses are going away, being overtaken by the Walmarts and other large corporate operations.

It has snuck up on us, and now we are being run over big-time.

Obama may not have much experience, but if he is passionate about change, and can get people to follow his passion - its all good.

I have been watching the coverage we get.. I saw the tearful speech that Hilary Clinton did i know i am cynical but i felt that could have been straight off a movie like independence day, there is a stereotype prejudice that my UK friends have that you Americans love that sort of cheesy speech(the come back is well if loving my country is cheesy etc etc) Its not the words its the delivery of them that seems cheesy .

The "iron my shirt" thing smells of incompetence. In times of terrorists how do two guys with t shirts and banners get past security?

been reading about Mc Cain is he an old Sergeant Martin Riggs? The maverick ex army crazy the system doesn't like, who tells it like it is but with a big smile?

Most of your candidates seem straight out of films

Well, her tearing-up they say endeared her to a huge reaction from women voters!

I don't personally trust the guy. Nor, most of them. They all freak me out, and to see the supporters in the audiences -- all these WASPS, waving their little signs and flags scares me almost as bad as the religious crazies --- actually a lot of those people are brain washed religious fanatics too.

It's like one of the best things Sting ever wrote: "Most of your politicians - They look like Game-SHow hosts to me".

I miss the Kennedys.

Yeah, He won by a landslide in South Carolina, and today Caroline Kennedy, and Ted Kennedy endorsed OBAMA.

Obama gave a couple of recent speeches that totally blew me away. I think he is the real deal.

Anthony,

Yep, I agree.

I saw where this election is being followed with a lot of interest in other countries.

I just hope we can turn this country around after all of the carnage that Bush & friends have caused... What a mess.

It IS encouraging to see the wants of a lot of Americans who want change.

I thought it was funny & interesting that Schwartzenager and his wife are endorsing different candidates!!!

God, I hope things in this country change this time around.
