Friday: For the second week in a row I get an email from my breeder saying she doesn't think she can mkae the drive down with my kittens (For good reasons completly out of her control). I filp and decide that I am going to get them on Saterday anyways; reguardless of how far I have to drive.

Saterday: Wake up at 3am, throw on some jeans and jump in the car - drive to my boyfriends house, wake him up and bt 4am we are on the road! :)

12pm get my babies. They are so beautiful and soft BUT...time to drive home. Put them back in their carrier and start heading back.

8pm back at home - after a day of 16 hours of driving you'd think I'd hate my kitties... NOT AT ALL!!

Sunday: I decide I want to make them a new toy - I go to Home Depot (the best store in the world if you ask me) and buy lumbar, toggle bolts, a staple gun and 14 L Brackets.

I go all around San Diego county looking for carpet as well. Find a place that gave me stacks of different colored catpet smaples (saved me $80 - thanks Brian!!) ....went and picked up more staples for my staple gun.

I went down to my office and busted out all my tools - a few cuts and TONS of staples later I had made the ultimate kitty toy - stepped shelfs on my walls.

I cut the carpet samples to make a cute quilted pattern, cut the wood (yes, I know how to use a table saw!) to fit my walls - cut little square hols in the wood as well so the kitties could go through the boards and stapled the carpet to the boards and then hung them on my walls.

In total the project took me about 3 hours.... Impressive huh? ;)

I will be taking pictures as soon as I get a chance. - The kitties are keeping me busy.

:)

I sold my table saw, radial arm saw, band saw, router, shaper, long bed jointer, and planer last year. Yeah, okay, they were my dad's, but he taught me how to use them. Like most women I know, I like power tools. :-)

Congrats on the babies, Vixie. Sounds like a real gymnasium you built for them. My (surviving) cats are 18 and 19 years old. They still live with my parents. It's just amazing that I take my almost-3-year-old daughter to go play with the kitties that I got in the 5th and 6th grade!

Thats so cool! I have one cat who's 15.... I actually remember going to get her. I was with my daddy and I picked up her and while my dad was paying i picked up another and tried to steal it! Hehehe *Sneaky Smile*

Andrea: Amen! I love power tools. My boyfriend's father owns his own company and they make aerospace products and parts. They have more tools then I've ever seen! We (being my boy and I) are constantly doing projects and making things... I'm pretty good with most tools but as always theres room for improvement. (I am great at welding though.) I've also taken up golf recently. I'm not liking that as much. It is really hard for me to be bad at something. (and I'm pretty bad at golf! lol) I try to go as least as possible...I feel like such an idiot when I miss the ball. :P

So anyways... pictures of the kitties and their new toy to be up soon. I'm probably going to take soem tonight if I have time. Have to go make coipes of my car keys and got to the driving range!! :(

;) ~Erin

Oh! Greg: Whats in it for me?? ;)

CV,

Been keeping quiet lately, but now you've gone and done it! (hands on hips). I sent my wife packing and now I have to know, will you marry me? ;)

Only kidding, but if I designed a woman for me, it would have your picture next to it.

How are you with firearms and martial arts?

LOL I hope youre kidding. I took 3 years of Kung Fu and have had a few years of various other types of martial atrs as well. (I'm very good with the machete) ;)

Firearms?? I actually am going shooting today after I get off of work. I am really good with a gun. When I go to the desert my dad and I always go off into some corner and shoot the hell outta anything we see (except animals of corse). ;)

I just bought a new BB gun (okay a little weak compared to my handgun but leagal! lol) - its a clot 25 and it has a silencer and clip and everything....its so cool. I ran into my boy freinds office with a ski mask and shot him a few times then jumped in my BMW for a get away - hehe it was fun! :P

Anyways...
Mason - heh I won't tell your wife you said that. Trust me, I'm not all that great! Andrea seems like she would be a much better gal than me. I cant cook or clean woth shit!! (and I know thats important to you old timers) and I'm only good with toys ... I'm not good in the kid department either. :P Honestly the last time I vacumed I caught the damn bag on fire....I swear it wasnt my fault though! (Stupid fireplace!) ;)

Geez. And you call yourself a Tomboy?

How about the combination of Schwarzenegger, Van Damme and McGyver in a much nicer package ?

I laughed so hard at the image of CV trying to vacuum and the bag aflame.......

Aikido and TaeKwonDo here, and soon Crav Maga. I didn't think I was going to like TKD much, but I am SO hooked now. After an especially stressful day, when I step on that mat the whole world goes away for an hour....afterwards my outlook is much better.

PS My wife knows I am shamelessly flirting with an (almost) child like a foolish schoolboy, and she thinks it is quit humorous. I even told her that when she turns forty (in 9 years) that I was going to trade her in on 2 twenty year olds...She quickly responded that I was in no way wired for 220.

I'll think I'll take my bruised ego to bed.

Lol I think I'd like her!

I also took TKD - after Kung Fu I thought TKD would be a step down and wasn't expecting much either but I also enjoy it. I have a few close friends who are masters and two of my cousins are also instructors. At family gatherings we push tables aside and rough eachother up a bit. Always good for laughs (or headaches...the shortest of the cousins is 6'4")

I am also off to bed. The damn kittens been keeping me up every night.

lol I wanted a pet...not a baby!!!!!

Had a colleague bring a vacuum cleaner motor into our workshop one day. Wouldn't go so he decided to give the com. and brushes a bit of a clean. So a liberal application of solvent cleaner and a quick switch on...
I think the flames must have been about 5ft long by the time he could get near enough to turn it off.
