It that time of year. My newest computer still doesn't have a decent program for dealing with all the digital pics and video I get from my digital camera, but there are so many choices?

What are you using if anything?

What for? How much? Do you like it?? Etc..

I'm sure I'm not the only one interested.

Not really looking for clip art programs.

Simple and effective.

Any examples of work?

Well, for pics (never really done much with video) there's the seemingly ubiquitous Photoshop, though personally I've never really strayed far from Paint Shop Pro (an' it's a darned sight cheaper to boot).

I use Ulead PhotoImpact. I think it is fantastic for photo editing from my digital camera, along with a zillion other things that a good image editor should do.

It also has vector drawing, etc.

It is worth looking into when comparing Paint Shop Pro. I prefer the Ulead interface. It is quite the package.

The company also has many other packages for video editing, even quite high end, so when you get in with Ulead, you're not limited.

Microsoft Digital Image Pro. Not bad saying I got it at about 1/3 of its retail price. Only photos, no videos though.
