That's just stupid...

(Still trying to get ahold of a PS3... but rather than selling or smashing I just want to USE it!)

Perhaps the guy has issues with Sony, or it's some form of guerrilla art project, but what ever the reasons I find the wanton vandalism somewhat sickening.

Okay, I appreciate that having bought the thing it’s his to do with as he pleases, but why be destructive when there are enough worthy causes that would be more than happy to take the several hundred dollars purchase price off his hands - or the PS3 if it comes to that.

I guess "buy it and donate it to charity" doesn't bring the same kind of fame that "buy it and smash it up for no good reason in front of people willing to pay thousands of dollars for one".

Next up he'll cut down a bristlecone pine and use it to start a fire to roast marshmallows... ;-P

Daniel,David..youre right..seems like a big waste..a better idea would be to walk over to the back of the line and give it to a young person who didnt have a ticket to buy one...as far as e-bay goes..well..im not sure who is worse..the people who bought just to profit..or the people spending outragous amounts to get one..it just makes the holidays perfect doesnt it?..my son didnt want one..but he does want the Wii..i have a much better chance of getting one of those. Have a nice thanksgiving !

I quite agree on that score.

As for my boy getting one (which I'll no doubt have a go with) It'll probably be next summer. The unconfirmed report is that it'll be March next year before the EU version is released - and he's more than happy enough to allow the mad rush to subside before splashing the cash (conveniently allowing those with more money than sense sort out the bugs).

It all reminds me of the day I drove over my dads truck over my Ti994a ... of course I got mine for $56 when Sears had them on clearance in 1983?..... PLUS, I used it for a year or two.

It was way back then that I knew I didn't want to write code for the rest of my life, and I had to make sure I couldn't do it anymore.

It's making me wonder why I have 4 CPU's and 2 laptops sitting next to me...

... Oh yeah... hard drives full of shi* i don't want to loose... Ugh.. Anybody have an extra Tera drive for me?
Jet Rack ... It's what's for breakfast

I agree, that is dumb, but then again in today's world it looks like stupid is the way to go
