My favorite motoring programme is called "top gear" because one of the presenters had an accident (he is recovering now)many anti speed groups and politicians want this programme taken off the air! here is a article about it

[Link: thesun.co.uk]

please read the info in the link and if you feel you want to sign the petition to keep top gear on the air i would be grateful.

Thanks

It's a good show. Petition signed. (Only one of me here...... maybe because I'm having a good day the others haven't showed up yet! LOL)

Accidents happen in any area of life. They aren't a bunch of death-wishing idiots on the show.

I only catch it a few times a year, but I do enjoy the show.

Here's hoping it stays on. I see over 56000 on the petition so far.

Thin of the wedge isn't it. If the BBC were to take Top Gear off the air because of the Hampster's crash perhaps they ought to consider taking off . . .

  • All forms of motor racing - did you see that crash that woman was involved in?

  • National Hunt racing - injuries to horses

  • Match Of The Day - because of the on field violence (I'm specifically thing of Ben Thatcher here).

  • Rugby - ditto the above.

  • News reports - unless they happen to be about fluffy bunnies. (Man eating fluffy bunnies though are definitely verboten).

  • Eastenders – because of all the junkie actors/actresses (Not really analogous I know – it’s just that I hate deadenders.

  • And any other show where the presenter might be subject to personal injury – I doubt Blue Peter would be cancelled if something fell from the ceiling of the studio onto one/more of the presenters.

Over 66000 signatories now.

With those kind of numbers, I doubt the program is going anywhere.

Besides, with Mr. Griffiths behind it, and it being his lucky day and all, how can it get cancelled? ;-)
