Mike: :-) I don't think it was a link, but an instruction. It is just that the site turns "http" into a link.
But on the address bar the icon used to be a Pronto. now it looks like a different TS remote with a yellow screen

That link wouldn't. At the top of your IE screen, try dragging the IE "e" icon in the Address bar from the left side to somewhere in the middle of the same bar.
You can also try clearning your cache.
Also, try going to TOOLS | OPTIONS | GENERAL | [SETTINGS] | [VIEW FILES] | sort by [TYPE] | scroll down to ICON and delete the one associated with remotecentral.com. You might have to delete all icons to get IE to work. To reset the bookmark icon, re-bookmark the site or do the dragging trick I describe above.

IE 6 is obviously different. I don't get a List by Type option. I just get a folder showing my Temporary Cookies, etc. No scrolling to ICON.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

My 'puter in the office has the little green remote always. Just put it on here at home (didn't have it before cause its my home page), and its a little Pronto Pro.
Oh, I'm running ME here, 98 at the office.
