The link can be based on anything. For example, in response to "The Beatles", you could put "The Crickets" as they're both insects, or "The Byrds" as they are both mis-spelled. You could put "Wings" or the "Plastic Ono Band" because of their shared members. You could put "Billy Preston" or "Eric Clapton" because they both recorded with them, etc, etc.
If you think the link is obscure and want to explain it, please use invisible text for the explanation.

Hollywood Brats Brat pack - Brats. About the only reason why anybody would know this band is because of a goofy punk compilation that came out in 1980 called "We Do 'Em Our Way", which featured their version of "Then He Kissed Me" along with other cuts by the Stranglers, Sex Pistols, etc. You could get the LP for about 1.99 at Woolworths.Click here for more info on the LP.

RATT
Sorry to correct you Robman but Franky, Dino, Sammy et. al were known as the "rat pack" not the "brat pack" (and I don't know how to use invisible ink)

RATT Frank Zappa (Hot Rats)
Sorry to correct you Robman but Franky, Dino, Sammy et. al were known as the "rat pack" not the "brat pack" But at the time the Brat Pack were considered to be something of a "modern" extension of the original so there is a tenuous link.

The Killers (Roger Daltrey played the lead role in the film of London villain John McVicar. Killers are obviously criminals too).
