This thread asks you to find a link to an article that makes you go...... Hmmmmmmmmm....... and then makes you say "What if.....?"

RULE ONE

You need to give us a link to an online article, news report, blog, picture, whatever, and then give us your "What if.......?"

Get it?

RULE TWO

You can also add a different "What if...." in answer to the same link.

Still get it?

TWO SIMPLE RULES. I doubt that the people who frequent Intermission will understand SIMPLE RULES, but what are ya gonna do? he he he

----------

Here is an example from djy from another thread.

-------

Atom Heart Mother or the ultimate in environmentally friendly power generation? What if we didn't just stop at cows?

----------

djy is the guy who wondered "What if... we had a "What if...." thread !!!

So, here it is!

What if we didn't just stop at cows?

Would New Zealand become a world energy Superpower?

Could human waste really be the fuel of the future?

Would it become a criminal offence not to donate one's poop?

Would Governments License public conveniences?

What type of person would be prepared to become a "Super Duper Pooper Snooper"?

Would the programme be extended to include parps?

PS
The use of Atom Heart Mother was inspired by the photograph in the article which, to my mind at least, I find very reminiscent of the album cover. I've now, however, learnt of the sad news that Syd Barret has died. Mind you, this does inspire another question.

What if he never left the band?

what if people actually stopped paying too much attention to cows and did something constructive.

what if all of this became reality and cows became the most important commodity?

Brilliant!

what if people actually stopped paying too much
attention to cows and did something constructive.

Personally, I think the Vermont initiative is constructive; very much a “renewable” source - and a darn sight more environmentally friendly than those monstrous great wind turbines our Government seem determined to foist upon us.

what if all of this became reality and cows became
the most important commodity?

How would India react you mean?

Would the Methane build up in the down pipe explode?

Whislt "hiding" away in the lavatory, might he not be overlooked for rescue?

Note:
For those somewhat bemused, the Toilet Snorkel is a device to obtain "fresh air" in the event of a fire in a high rise building. The website purports this to a genuinely patented item (issued in 1982) though no actual number is given.

If it became a necessity to use it, I think that would be the least of my worries.

World peace. Perfect health. Perfect weather. Perfectly fitting jeans.

What if we had all of these things? Especially the perfect weather?

What would we complain about, and we humans do love to complain!

We'd complain about the fact we have nothing to complain about, of course.

As for perfect weather, who's to say what that is? Like most people, I enjoy the sun, but I also find enjoyment in dull, wet days. Indeed, I would go so far as to say my perfect day would be one of a dark, overcast autumnal sky; a bit of a breeze (such that one can hear it gently swirling through the branches of trees); a slight nip and perhaps a fine drizzle in the air.

Days such as these I find appreciably more atmospheric than those that are just sunny - in much the same way I find black and white photography more atmospheric than colour.

Would opposites attract?

Would that create hybrid weather conditions?

John McClane: Thanks a lot, Jesus.
Zeus: Why the hell do you keep calling me Jesus? Do I look Puerto Rican to you?
John McClane: That guy back there, he called you Jesus.
Zeus: No, he didn't, he said "Hey, Zeus." My name is Zeus.
John McClane: Zeus?
Zeus: Yeah, Zeus. You know, Mount Olympus, father of Apollo, don't f**k with me or I'll shove a lightning bolt up your ass, Zeus! You got a problem with that?

Definately stormy weather there.
