Or there's been a cross over between different versions of The Matrix.

So at the end of it all did anyone ever find the programming?

I know this thread is really old but I can tell you the Mega 8 exists and it's not that uncommon here in Germany. I use this thing since years and have a link to a german users manual including the ever helpfull codelist:

[Link: mitglied.multimania.de]

The top line(1-4) is the manual, but I don't know if it'll be helpfull to you because it's in german. The bottom line(1-9) is the codelist.

Sorry, for the necropost! I found this forum by accident and thought since none of you guys found an answer in all those years, I could clear this up for you and maybe help someone who lost the manual. If you'd like, I can even translate the part of the manual where it said how to program it.

I think you're right about the zombie thing since my remote is over 10yo and slowly falling apart. But it's still functional. How did you know?

The Mega 8 became something of a running joke, which we kept going by being deliberately obtuse. If you're willing to write a translation, I'm sure Daniel wouldn't object.

"Old soldiers never die; they just fade away" - the Mega 8, on the other hand, just doesn't.

What section of this board would be the best fit to post something like this?

Follow these instruction to upload it to this files section.

Alternatively, you can send it to me (address in profile) and I'll do it.

Did not have much time. Won't be any files to upload, just the Links to the codelist of that german manual from the site I already shared and a quick translation text of the page where it tells you, how to programm it.
