First off...I am new here and I hope this is a appropriate question for this forum.
the others didn't seem to be appropriate.

My video card has RCA out.
My Sound card (5.1 btw) has mini-jack out.
The computer is 50 feet from the HDTV.
Can I combine Standard RCA yellow/red/white
and send the signal to my TV over RG6?

The tv's stereo tuner should be abl to understand the input I would believe.

Radio Shack has a F-type(RG6) to RCA adapter but that would only carry video.
Is there and adapter to combine the 3 signal to RG6?

I'd like to be able to do this with out buying $100s in equipment and spend the $$ on wireless Media Center PC in the future.

Thanks everyone.

( I have stereo mini-jack to RCA (red/white) cord if it would be needed.)

If it is a HDTV (as stated above) you should have RCA inputs all over the back of the thing. Then you just run the yellow, red, and white to the back of the TV.

If you do need to use a cable input, you need the RF modulator which will output the RCA outputs to channel 3 or 4.

I know nowt but a $40 modulator or one in a VCR sending an originally composite signal 50 feet to an ordinary tv never mind a HDTV always resulted in a rubbish picture for me and in mono sound...whats your secret guys ? how do you make it look acceptable? as one of Prez's thoughts is to send computer info this way how is text etc going to be readable?

Actually, thinking about it now, you'd get better picture with a VGA to DVI or HDMI adapter.

When you get the lights fixed, the tracking sorted, the bodywork repaired and the emissions back to acceptable levels.

(I'm assuming the US has a similar thing to our M.O.T.)

djy, supposedly we do, but I think it's only in certain states or something, as I have never had to test any of my cars in either Ohio or South Carolina. Who knows...

It's not!

We answered HIS questions without extreneous dialogue as he indicated he didn't want to spend 100's of dollars.
