I am going to try to give up alchohol mainly my weekly consuption of Beer (both bitter and lager) for 40 days and nights.

I have gone six months without drinking alchohol before BUT i made sure i wasnt in an enviroment for drinking for example i never went to the pub, i also worked nights and i never fancied 10 pints at eight in the morning.

This forty days and nights i will still go to the pub every friday to do Karaoke and sit with others that drink.

Its the hardest lent ever for me.I gave up chocolate last lent (then scoffed like a pig at easter!)

Is anyone else giving up anything for lent?

am i suppose to be having the shakes?
I feel like a truck ran over me.
Conversations with drunk people are not fun anymore and i want to slap them silly when they talk to me...
so pretty normal withdrawl symptoms at the moment.
