Hi,
Is it really ture that there are no optical inputs on the Sony STR-DB825 receiver ?
I would like to have 5.1 sound both from my dvd player and from my digital satelite receiver...

I've got a STR-DE825 and it has optical inputs. I don't know if the DB is a different model, or simply a different model number on the same device sold at a different store. Either way, I suggest simply looking at the back of the receiver you are interested in. Optical inputs are easy to spot.

The "DB" series is of higher quality than the "DE" line, but often does have different features.
