Hey i just made a Solar powered shed light for my 8ft by 6 ft shed out of four solar garden lights that were only £7.99.
in stead of coming on automatically at night the light only comes on when i press the on off switch .The four panels are on a board on the shed roof.and the four AA rechargeables are inside the shed near the on off switch.

Whats the best things you guys have cobbled together out of junk?

For Eeper (admittedly not out of junk) I've made:

  • A phono lead signal splitter (for bi-amping his speakers).

  • A linking connector for Alvaro's/his train set; out of a rather heavy duty industrial multi-pole connecter.

  • A points switch box; again for the train set.

For myself, I did ponder upon a plan to cobble together some LED plug-in nightlights, until I worked out how much they'd actually cost.

A Weimaraner's bum is really rather good looking, so I take that as a compliment somewhat fortunate really as he's now after me to make a track power bus for him.

PS
Yes I must admit, I passed the big 50 last Wednesday.
