What's the deal with AV amp , receiver manufacturers (Sony Denon , Yamaha etc) and their remote controls that when you use the mute button, they will not release the mute upon executing a volume up command? Bye bye speakers, to a lot of novices!!!!
(Sony and other TV manufacturers have done it right on their TV's since the beginning of remote volume control TV's.) Come on AV manufacturers, get with the 70's!!!!

Amen! I'm not a novice and I still from time to time turn the volume up and then realize it is on mute, and punch the mute button and figure bye bye speakers (and renting my apartment!)

Mine is a Denon.
