I've just seen a seven in one remote control with fastext,sky digital compatiblity in a one pound shop!!!! and it came with free batteries.
these are stupidly cheap now.

Oddly enough, one pound shops don't necessarily sell things for one pound. You're right though, they are getting cheaper Maybe I'll buy one for my Chord Media Engine, it's all I'll be able to afford.

"One pound shops" don't sell everything for a pound there? Wow, I know that the Dollar Tree Store's sells everything for a dollar, it's apart of their advertizing. And I've tested it, everything is a dollar, plus tax of course. Now Famaily Dollar on the other hand. not everything is a dollar there. Those are the only two stores around here that I can think of.

we do indeed have "pound "shops that sell every item or sometimes multiple items for a pound (apart from the till and other fixtures and fittings)but there are other pound shops that started selling items at one pound but sell higher priced items too but most of the items for sale are a pound including VAT.

The remote was in a true pound shop and was for sale for £1.00 inc VAT and two AA Batterries.Slave labour must have been used to make a remote at this price and for the retailer to make any sort of profit and for the government to to take it's 17.5% VAT.
