i need the code for the rca rcu800 for the tv/dvd combo my 5 year old cut the corner of the book and of course that was the code i needed

There's a programming feature here plus links to various codes at the bottom of the page.

If that's of no help I suggest you do as Greg says, though it might be wise to mention the make/model no. of the TV/DVD unit.

I found the codes for some ancient code programmable remotes here... I Yahoo'ed them before that (Google was still a glimmer..)

Re-buying crappy universal remotes must be a pet peeve with a lot of people, I have found codes listed for many years.
