never thought about it, but I guess it makes sense to have regional games (at least with the sports)

so what are the options for Cricket? For Hockey you have three periods of 20min (like a real game), 10min or 5min. I can't imagine someone being in front of the PC for a week playing one game of Cricket.

There are various forms of Cricket; Test Matches (played over 5 days), County Championship games (played over 3 days) and one day, limited overs games.

All of these type of game are reproduced (a test match is a full five days) and include the vagaries of the weather though not, apparently, such idiosyncrasies as a batsman having to use a runner.
