the Mayan calendar ends in 2012...

(ice ages don't seem to affect the southern hemisphere
as badly as they do the north, except for that
one time the entire globe was a frozen ball of
ice for a million years...)

I've got your frozen balls right here. You doom and gloomers are getting me down. It makes me laugh when I see people that are supposedly secure in their faith take the time to wax dreary on the end of times.
It will come when it comes and come it will. When and how will be an unanswered question until the day it arrives and all the premonitions and all the speculation will be the furthest thing from anybody's mind.

Of a much larger concern is your own imminent end which I guarantee you will see sometime within the next century and a half. Do what you can to make your mark on this world. Then launch your DNA into space with a primer for the language, and a library of information into and an electronic beacon. Maybe somebody out there will pick you up one day and reconstitute your matter and put you in a zoo.

Ash to ashes, dust to dust, keep on guessing if you must.
Your end is coming far or near
Smile, relax, and drink your beer.

ChicAugur: you do realize this is the intermission forum, where we discuss and show the bizarre and entertaining stuff we find. I don't know about Ahl, but this was all in good fun

o.. I'm twisted...

my other job is selling life insurance and retirement plans...

there would be no point in doing that job if the world was coming to an end now, would there... LOL
We can do it my way, or we can do it my way while I yell. The choice is yours.

you are wrong, it is the best time. Think about it, enjoy the premiums now and when the end of the world arrives you won't have to pay out :-)
