Hi everybody.

Does any central database with IR codes exist?
It would be really neat if it was possible to download the IR codes in some vendor-neutral format, and upload them to the remote at home.

Regards,

Michael.

It's not possible. For a few reasons. First there are just way too many ir codes to list on one document. Second universal remotes are not the same. In other words, a Pronot Neo, does NOT use the same ir codes as a Pronto TS-1000(2000 or 6000). Third, no one wants to do it.

the closest thing is the Pronto database here on RC. But Rob is right, also no manufacturer would put the effort in a universal database because it would cost them money and no way to charge for it.

Would you settle for a central database with IRS codes? I'm sure that exists!
I'm just a sheep in wolf's clothing...
