Well Mr G, it just so happens that I have here, right in front of me (well, slightly to the left, if I were to be pedantic), a copy of Mike Randall's (AKA Mr K, and/or whatever pseudonym/s he may now go under) recipe for Texas Radioactive Chili. (Note: Only one l). He uses Pinto beans (which, by the way, we've now adopted in favour of the usual Red Kidney) rather than Aduki, but I see no reason why a substitution could not be tried. (Note: The beans are cooked with the rice not in the sauce).

Would you like a copy?

Please dont worry djy .Your offer , as always is a free offer of assistance and i am very grateful for your advice and i know you,you will get round to it,I'm in no hurry ,those beans dont look that tasty anyway.I don't think the fourteen cans of Grolsch i had last night helped my diet.

Thanks again

I think I might have deleted the spammer you were responding to, while you were responding....

(They're getting tricky these days - seemingly real posts, designed to not APPEAR as spam, but usually tacked onto ancient threads and with multiple links in their signature that relate slightly to the topic at hand, but often formatted in BB code, demonstrating that it was a cut-and-paste job.)

Sorry, been away cooking for most of the day - Lasagne . . .

Mince
Bacon
Onions
Garlic
Celery
Fennel
Peppers
Mushrooms
Tomatoes
Tomato Purée
Stock
Béchamel

In fact, just about everything other than Spam - and pretty darned good it was too, even if I do say so myself.
