I have Just bought a Sony BDP-S360 and i am interested in the BD Live functionality.

From reading the whole BDP-S360 thread there is very little on this and mainly comments along the likes of gimmick , waste of time etc.

I have ordered a Long LAN cable which i hope to get next week and i have a USB Card reader with a 1 GB SD card plugged in the sony the EXT light lights up so that seems to be ok.

I would like to her from any users on positive experiences of BD Live and Bonus view features.

So far I have to agree with "gimmick" and "waste of time"... I've never found anything truly useful on BD Live. I'm sure there has to be some benefit. But currently, it seems to be boring promotional items.

agree, now every disk is different but if you don't care about new trailers, looking/discussing on the internet or extras that could have but where not included, there is nothing for you

Can't really think of much that it WOULD be useful for. Updating buggy discs, yes... but any other content could have been part of the original disc.

same here, except for the movie DB connection, which I am not interested in but can be interesting for others and can't work well if it is on disk.

Don't remember what studio has used it (and never tried it), but in essence you link to imdb (or something like that) and you can get a list of other movies that the actor played in or trivia about the movie.... so if are the type that after seeing a movie you want to see more from the same actor/director or you think someone looked familiar and you want to know where you saw them before, it can be useful and it is live, then again you could just go on your PC and do it :)
