What is in your opinion the best movie or concert Blu-Ray disc for audio demo?

Something with Linear PCM, DD+, Dolby TrueHD, dts-HD Master Audio or dts-HD High Resolution Audio only please.

i agree. The opening scene is perfect for demoing to a client. Especially if theyve seen the movie before, because they see and hear the diff. I love that wow part.
hey! it works!

Depends what you mean, the above mentioned movies are good for the reason mentioned above (i.e. namely that they are good examples of well known pieces), but from the ones I have I think Nature's Journey is a good choice if you are looking for richness, because it is 96/24. I have not seen it, but have heard from a few that I respect that Léon is amazing as well.
Also if it is for speakers and "this is what can be heard from a better source" I heard RBfilms is working on a test disk which will have different audio/video clips encoded using different methods so people can compare and see/hear the difference. Unfortunately don't know anything more about it.

Agreed. The first 45 seconds (including the Paramount opening) is amazing, and one of the best demos to show the reason to have serious speakers on the sides and rears.

Just bought the OPPO BDP83 Blu-ray player & they give you a HD Music Sampler disc from AIX RECORDS which is top class.

Most impressive movie I've seen would be MASTER & COMMANDER plus the 1st five minutes of BLADE RUNNER with the Vangelis soundtrack is pretty good for a film made 27 years ago.

Can you comment on your Oppo. i wanted to get it, but decidedagainst it because of the price. I decided to get the LG390C, which had great reviews. Bought it at $299 Can. on special at BestBuy. I have an Oppo 980H which will do all my DVD Audio and SACDs.

hello all,

"9" is the new ref bluray demo!!!!
also it was the first disc played on the oppo bd-83.

riche-guy, the oppo is awesome worth the price.
i've had bad experiences with lg products (2 dvd players & a micrwave)
but lg makes the best cell phones for verizon.
if possible return the lg & save a few $$ to get the oppo.
this is just my humble opinion.

9 has some phenominal bass, but it's just such a weird (and ultimately disappointing) movie...
