I'm trying to find out what frequencies of IR carrier are used on the majority of HD sources available. So, I thought I would start out by asking the question here.

Does anyone know? Is there another place I can get this information from?

38Khz is a common standard, but I'd like to know if that's what is in use for any HD sources you have knowledge of.

Many thanks in advance,

Doug

P.S. this is research for me to inform a manufacturer of IR repeater products.

I believe Scientific Atlanta is 56kHz.

I also do research, and like you I charge for it. I have access to a couple of large databases of products, and that database includes the IR modulating frequencies. I'd be pleased to look things up for you on a consulting basis.

I could even obtain data from new models that are on the market but that haven't yet been included in the database. Send me makes and models and we can work something out.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
