Yeah, that's it, or vice versa; I can't remember or figure out which one it is, but that's it.
I think it's 480p going into a 480i input, because 480p sends out information twice as fast as a 480i wants it, so you get two images left to right. But wait a minute, there's a situation where you get two images top to bottom...but that would be 480 lines going out interlaced and being shown on a display that does 480 lines progressive, so it shows the odds, then the evens, and gives you two images vertically. Yeah, that's it: Daniel has it right. Or vice versa.
The resolution of the signal needs to be changed or it should be plugged into a different input.
