I have a Sony XBR5 TV with a nice remote. I have a new Toshiba HD-DVD player with a not so nice remote. I want to program the Sony remote to be able to control the Toshiba HD-DVD player. I have tried the codes for Toshiba DVD, VCR, and VCR/DVD combo machines out of the Sony manual before posting just to be sure and none of them work.
Does anybody know the code for the Toshiba HD-DVD players?

how does one find this code? we have the same problem, Sony VEGA with remote RM-YD010. need the code to operate the HD-A3KU HD DVD player.
appreciate any help.
