Thanks for these replys.....
Because of them I found and downloaded DVD Profiler.
I've only used it for a few mins. but it seems excellent.
I quickly put in all of my Blueray DVD's (I have FAR less then I do regular DVD's) so they make for a good test.

I prefer freeware Movienizer: http://www.movienizer.com
I like the way it links movies and persons.

Delicious Library for Mac OS. It works with the built in iSight camera as a bar code reader. Very slick.

I also like Movienizer. I've been using this organizer for a year or so and am very happy with the functionality and the clean design of the program. It supports many scripts, I can find any information about a movie, besides, I can add my own sites to its database. I like the function of its loan manager that helps me track where my movie or disc is. The program is simple to use, plus it's a freeware - www.movienizer.com

They have a barcode scanner for about $19.95 at Collectorz called the "CueCat" Scanner.

I love Collectorz although I am thinking about goint to a "Media Center" and not sure what will work with that so I can select a DVD from the list and have it play.

Gary, if you really want to do that try dvdxml.com - it's a great way to add metadata to your library.

Oh, thanks for your replies and the topic! It’s just what I was looking for. I want to know what do people do to organize all that mess with the movie collection of 100+ discs. I’ll try to use the mentioned programs.

After a few days of testing All My Movies and Movienizer I decided to pick the second one. And the reason is interface: it’s more simple and lightweight. I liked the movie covers presentation too.
I use Dune HDI media player to watch movies and discovered many adjustable settings of the catalogue template in Movienizer. It’s fun to experiment. I can’t find how to customize templates in AMM, is it possible at all?
