That's good enough to exceed a changer capacity, you've officially passed the point of no return. :-) Daniel, how are you storing your DVDs, i.e. shelving, mega changer(s), server? Do you use your remote to access your collection? If so, how's the free space holding up?

On a personal note, I can't thank you enough for building "Remote Central dot com". Myself, and countless number of others would be lost without it.

3,857. Believe me, I am not bragging....I am more embarrassed about it than anything. If I had a chance to do it over again, I could easily strip 2,000 titles off of my list.

I just feel better knowing that I'm not alone with this disc addiction.

I have no DVD changers...I am a stickler for picture quality, and feel the majority of changers wouldn't satisfy me. I have floor-to-ceiling homemade shelving all around my home theater. It's getting tight. I have room for another 300-350...then I am in big trouble.

What's going to happen when HDDVD and/or Blu-Ray succeed? I already have about 30 HDDVD's. I will probably re-invest in some of my favorites. The cycle never ends. First it was laserdisc (for me), then standard dvd, then who knows. Downloadable movies could be next...that would solve my space problem!

Too bad it's not legal to archive them all on one master server like music!

Somewhere between 7 and 15 DVDs, I'm not sure.

Man, what I wouldn't give to have that type of self-control when it comes to buying DVDs. God I hate Tuesdays. :-)

With those numbers you definitely DVD 12 Step worthy! My collection continues to climb quietly as I patiently wait for some serious discounted DVDs. As you, my collection is legit and contains no porn. How's your collection stored and/or accessed? Pls. refer to thread 1.

433 - about 100 of these are music concerts; Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Eagles, AC/DC, etc, etc. Another small collection but there is no porn, no copies and there isn't a single title I won't eventually watch and enjoy again. For awhile I had the compulsion to buy DVDs even if I didn't like the movie very much. I got rid of quite a few and am trying to control myself better now. I often rent a movie first to see if I like it before purchasing a copy. I keep trying to tell myself that less is more but deep down I keep hearing a voice say "bulls#$t, buy, buy, buy". Got to control that voice.

My collection is stored on shelves as DVD players with greater than 5 disc capacity are not available in Aust. I keep the whole lot catalogued with "Collectorz.com Movie Collector Pro", scanning my own covers and diligently correcting any downloaded information.

About 750 at the moment. Had a few copies a while back, but started waiting a while and buying special offers. Downside is now where I am, buying the real thing is not possible (only pirated copies). Quality is a bit mixed and although prices are pretty good, same prices could be gotten in the USA for the real deal.

Biggest problem I have is finding a pace to store them - my DVD racks are now full and just take up space. Thought about storing in folders, but need to get some with removable pages so I can add and still keep them sorted. Anybody got any tips/advice on this (changers are not really an option due to me needing multi region due to my moves)
